Subject: Strategies and Guidelines for Reiki with Animals
Description: For students who have at least 1st Degree/Level 1 Reiki and are interested in receiving a very in-depth and practical foundation in doing Reiki with animals, this class is for you! With Jenny's support, the lessons and corresponding practice/homework assignments will allow you to experience successful animal Reiki treatments - and as a result, will give you the experience you need to practice Reiki with all kinds of animals and in any situation with groundedness and confidence. This Workshop consists of 5 main lessons taught over a 2-day/weekend format:
Lesson One:
* Introduction and overview of the philosophy and approach
* Why Reiki is ideal for animals
Lesson Two:
* Considerations before beginning any treatment
* Personal considerations
* How to talk to human companions about the treatment
* Specifics for communicating about Reiki and animals to anyone!
Lesson Three:
* Working with affirmations
* Considerations about the ideal treatment space
* Introducing yourself to the animal being treated!
* How to begin the treatment
* Signs that the animal is accepting Reiki: behaviors to expect
Lesson Four:
* More signs of Reiki acceptance: practitioner awareness, insights and intuition
* What we as practitioners should do with this information
* Hands-on treatments: suggestions for success
* Troubleshooting difficult situations: recommendations for increasing the success of the treatment
Lesson Five:
* Healing Reactions: defined, what to expect, how to respond
* Ending the treatment; after the treatment
* Overview of special issues: Reiki for dying animals, Reiki and other therapies, Reiki in shelters and sanctuaries
* Suggested programs: frequency and duration of treatments
* Conclusion: How to get the most out of your practice.
