I learned about niacin as a migraine treatment from my daughter who was in the Air Force. She heard about it from another Air Force person, who thought it was common knowledge. I have asked several doctors about this, including a headache specialist at Mayo Clinic and ALL reacted as though I was crazy. None of them would admit they had ever heard of it. I take 100 or 200 mg at the first sign and the symptoms are gone within 15 minutes.

I don’t have migraines, but I get bad headaches sometimes, and 100 mg. tablets of niacin are the first thing I reach for. The flush really helps. I dissolve one in my mouth and chase it down with water so that it acts faster, and in a few minutes waves of fizzy heat are pouring through my cells, flushing out that headache and any other body aches like a red tornado! Yes, you turn pretty red, but it goes away in about a half hour.

Hmm, I am eating greens and liver, however I still have migraines. But today I tried taking niacin supplement – it took 1500 mg to kick it, but it is gone!
