Hypnotherapy Training Can Change Lives

Have you ever met someone, and they’ve got so comfortable with you so fast that within 15 minutes they’ve already told you half of their lives, and you know all of their problems?

hypnotherapy training

Maybe your mum was the type of person who everyone came to with their issues, and you’ve inherited that, so now your entire circle of friends lays everything on you, whether you ask them to or not (though perhaps you secretly enjoy it).

Or maybe you’re just the sort of person who loves to help people, and you’re seriously considering making it into a career.

Whatever the reason, taking hypnotherapy training and then starting your own practice can be a deeply satisfying, life fulfilling experience. There is no better feeling than knowing you’re making a difference in people’s lives, and there is no greater difference you can make more than helping someone deal with the problems that they face and might not be able to deal with on their own.

So it stands to reason if you want to help people, you’re going to want to learn the best way of doing that. One of the best methods for change in people’s lives, especially effective change for long term issues, is hypnotherapy.

Hypnotherapy Can Change Lives

Hypnotherapy is a method used by medical and healthcare professionals to treat a wide range of issues that their clients face in their day to day lives.

Hypnosis is what’s known as a complimentary therapy, meaning that it’s generally used alongside  or as a complement to another method of therapy, to enhance the effect of both.

How Does Hypnotherapy Work?

Hypnotherapy works by guiding the client into a state of hypnotic trance, using methods of guided relaxation, breathing techniques and concentration or focus to put your client into a suggestible, trance like state. (1) This pacing and leading of the client moves their mindset into a place where they’re most able to make changes without resistance, and you’re most capable of helping them.

Once in ahypnotic state, your clients will find it easier tap into their subconscious more freely, as well as become aware of thoughts and feelings with less judgement than they otherwise would. This means your clients are generally more able to focus on what needs to be focused on and move past any mental blocks or other issues that inhibit healthy growth.

The use of hypnosis as a therapy tool is growing year on year as more studies are performing confirming the efficacy of its use. Used as a tool alongside other types of therapy, hypnotherapy training is a valuable tool that allows clients to explore deep seated feelings or confront pain that they otherwise might be unable to.

Who Can Be Helped With Hypnotherapy?

One of the most wonderful things about hypnotherapy is that the underlying methods are so powerful and effective, they can be adapted to almost any situation, including: (2)

Weight loss

A lot of the time, the reason someone puts on weight is not because of what they’re eating. It’s because of how.

The problem is normally with the relationship we have with our food, and how we’re using food in our lives, for example as a tool to deal with pain, or boredom.

Often, we might subconsciously know that our relationship with our food is unhelpful, but facing it, especially when it comes to something that we have to do every day, as a normal part of our lives, can be hard.

Once put into a hypnotic trance and allowed to examine how and why they see food in the way they do, a client will be able to break their patterns adopt a more healthy attitude, not just with food, but also breaking the patterns in life that caused the unhealthy eating patterns in the first place. (3)

Depression

One of the key triggers for depressive episodes is specific traumatic events.

Facing down these events can be difficult, and as the onset of depression progresses, a failure to deal with these same events and move on can contribute to the general feelings of lowness and worthlessness that accompany many depressive episodes.

Because hypnotherapy allows people to deal with issues in a safe, calm, non-judgemental environment, a client suffering from depression caused by specific events can find it significantly easier to work through.

On top of this, because depression is a mental disorder that can often lurk below the surface of a person’s mind, when tapping into the subconscious using hypnosis, you will be able to let patients deal with their issues in manner that’s entirely under their and your control.

Anxiety

Continuing research shows that hypnotherapy training could allow you to work on curing the root causes of anxiety disorders and panic attacks.

Once in a trance state, it can become very simple for a patient to detach from the issues that cause their anxiety, and allow them to see these problems in a more relaxed, rational, objective manner.

Often times, once these problems have been examined more closely by the patient, and behaviours to deal with them suggested by the therapist practitioner, the anxiety lessens by a great deal or simply disappears very quickly.

Confidence and Assertiveness

Low confidence and low self esteem go hand in hand. Generally, low confidence or low levels of assertiveness are indicators of a host of other underlying issues, whether in love life, career, or just general life.

Confidence comes from competence, being relaxed and knowing that no matter what comes, or what situations might throw at you, you’re equipped with the skills, tools and mental state to be able to deal with it.

By being able to talk through situations in a calm, relaxed manner whilst in a hypnotic trance, gently guided by your promptings, you will be able to escort your clients through the situations that normally cause them anxiety, curing it from the root of the problem.

Stress

Hypnotherapy serves a dual use for dealing with stress, especially when used alongside other methods of stress management.

Firstly, the act of dropping into a meditative hypnotic state actively reduces the stress response in the body. As you build trust with your clients and they learn how best to fall into a deeply relaxing trance, it will be something that they can do in their day to day lives as well as in your sessions, allowing them to better deal with stressful situations.

Secondly, hypnotherapy allows people to make deep, long lasting, sweeping changes to their lives, which can eliminate the problems that are causing their stress in the first place.

Smoking and Addictions

Long understood as a powerful method for quitting smoking or other addictive lifestyle problems, hypnotherapy can be a highly effective tool that you can use to allow your clients to take control of their lives. (4)

A group study on the effectiveness of hypnotherapy for quitting smoking found that it at least as effective as other methods, which is incredible considering some of those methods include supplementation with nicotine in patches or dummy cigarettes.

One hypothesis is that the focus and attentiveness hypnosis brings allows clients to better control their cravings and urges, as well as understand why they’re making the effort to quit. Whatever the reason, all we know is, it works, and very well!

Sleep Disorders

For people suffering from sleep disorders, hypnosis is one of the most powerful cures available, hence the prevalence of sleep hypnosis apps all across our phones and videos purporting to help you sleep flooding the internet.

But nothing beats learning how to best fall into a hypnotic trance from a registered professional. When seeing clients with sleep disorders, often you might be teaching them simply how to calm and quiet the mind when it comes time to sleep, and with your training and expertise, there will be no better person to do so. (5)

Other times, simply the fact that their minds have become calmer and more relaxed through repeated hypnotic trance states allows clients to cut through the chaos that prevents them from getting a restful night’s sleep, so helping to cure their sleep disorder.

Grief and Loss

We all experience loss in our lives, and most of the time, we will be able to acknowledge and move past it, dealing with the loss and integrating it healthily into our minds and personality.

But sometimes the loss of someone is too hard, perhaps due to the closeness of the relationship, or a lack of strong support network.

In these times, hypnotherapy can be a highly effective tool, both to process the grief, and to deal with the host of surrounding issues that can arise after an unexpected or even expected loss.

Talking through the problem with an objective, caring outsider like a hypnotherapist means you can give your clients the space they need to regress back to the events, objectively observe and acknowledge their pain, then find methods to heal whatever issues are causing them all this hurt.

Are There Downsides to Hypnotherapy?

In general, hypnosis is appropriate for the vast majority of clients, but it might not be suitable for those with drug or alcohol dependency problems, or those with psychotic symptoms, such as delusions or hallucinations.

Apart from this, when used correctly, your hypnotherapy training can be a powerful tool for change and growth, especially when it comes to healing long term mental blocks.

Can Hypnotherapy Make Someone Do Something They Don’t Want To?

No. Absolutely not. Hypnotherapy is a guided practice that lets people understand their subconscious mind and break through any blocks they may have.

You can never make someone do something with hypnosis or hypnotherapy that they didn’t already want to do, consciously or subconsciously.

This is why some people think hypnosis doesn’t work. It doesn’t work on them because they’re sceptical of the practice, and don’t want to be hypnotised.

There’s an important lesson here for everyone considering hypnotherapy training. One of the first things you can do with your clients is pace them, make sure that they know that hypnotherapy works best if they expect it to do something, even something small. Then assess where they are in their personal lives, and make sure that they want to make the changes that they’re coming to you for.

Are There Different Ways To Learn Hypnosis?

There certainly are. Like anything that’s been around a long time and has been proven to work, hypnosis and hypnotherapy has been adapted, transformed and taught in a thousand different ways.

In our opinion, the current best hypnosis training on the market is Rapid Transformational Therapy or RTT by multi award winning therapist Marisa Peer.

What Makes RTT Better Than Traditional Hypnotherapy?

There are so many reasons that we would recommend anyone thinking of taking hypnotherapy training trains in RTT over other forms of hypnotherapy. Here are our main reasons:

  • The head instructor and originator of the method, Marisa Peer, has been a trained therapist for over thirty years, specialising in multiple different methods of therapy.
  • All of that experience, both with different methods of therapy and with thousands of clients from all walks of life and with every imaginable issue, has been combined into a single powerful, effective method that can be adapted to help anyone, in any situation.
  • RTT isn’t just hypnotherapy. It’s a complete therapeutic approach that combines the most powerful parts of hypnosis with up to date psychological knowledge and a revolutionary method of self talk that, once internalised, allows clients to effect sweeping, long lasting changes to their lives with ease.
  • Rapid Transformational Therapy is, as its name suggests, an extremely fast and powerful method for long term change, and in some cases, can make huge and lasting changes in the lives of clients within just a single session!

Every method of hypnotherapy can be effective if used correctly, but in our honest opinion, if you’re looking for a therapeutic practice that brings long term change into people’s lives, and has the highest chance of that change sticking for good, no matter what might happen, then you should seriously consider studying with Marisa Peer.

Blotchy Skin – What Is Causing My Blotchy Skin?

Millions of people around the world suffer from blotchy skin for many reasons. The skin, in this case, develops red patches that are sometimes itchy or irritating. The patches can also appear anywhere on the body although they are commonly found on the face, neck, and arms.

blotchy skin

Blotchy skin can be hard to control, but there are several steps people can take to control the symptoms or causes. Why it is hard to control may be because of the causes as well as the intensity or level it has extended to. Mainly, the causes include genetics, environmental conditions, changes in the weather, allergies, among others.

What is Blotchy Skin?

A blotchy skin is an uneven skin with red, dark, or white patches. The patches are caused by different factors, and they may start becoming visible when the dead surface skin is not exfoliated regularly or is over-exfoliated.

Why is My Skin Blotchy?

The skin can be blotchy due to the following conditions:

  1. Hives

Hives are red welts that usually itch. The welts can be signs of an allergic reaction, stressful situations, or be as a result of an illness. Usually, the hives go away within a day even though a new one may pop up in its place.

The welts may be a few, but you may also get a bunch of them connecting and spreading across your body. If they start getting stubborn or worse, the skin becomes uneven or blotchy, and you should not hesitate to see a dermatologist.

  1. Heat Rash

Red, bumpy, and itchy rashes may also lead to a blotchy skin. Such a skin usually develops when the weather is hot and humid and shows up where the skin rubs together, for example, the groin and armpits.

Heat rash is common in babies. However, adults can also be affected when they get sweaty or overheated.

  1. Contact Dermatitis

Contact dermatitis is a skin condition caused by a skin reaction to an irritant and is manifested in the form of dry skin, blisters, hives, or rashes. It can also be an allergic reaction (for example to poison ivy) and sometimes irritation (from perfumes in some soaps) and result in blotched skin.

  1. Psoriasis

Psoriasis happens in two forms, but the most common is plaque psoriasis. This type manifests itself as raised skin patches that have a scaly layer of dead skin cells on top. Usually, the manifestation occurs as patches around elbows, knees, the lower back, and scalp. However, blotches may appear anywhere on the body.

  1. Eczema

Eczema is a skin condition that results in patches of very dry and itchy skin. The patches may be thicker and turn colors to either lighter or darker. The resultant skin is uneven, blotched one.

  1. Rosacea

Rosacea manifests itself with flushing or blotches across one’s cheeks, the forehead, chin, or nose. Also, it can result in small pimple-like bumps while blood vessels may also become visible. The causes may include eating spicy foods, alcohol, and menopause.

  1. Shingles

Shingles are painful rashes with blisters that show up as single stripes on one side of the body. Usually, shingles are caused by the chickenpox-causing virus, and before it shows, one may experience itching or tingling.

  1. Melasma

Melasma is the manifestation of brown or gray-brown patches caused by sun exposure or hormonal changes. The patches usually appear on the face and are more common in women who are on pregnancy or birth control pills.

  1. Vitiligo

When vitiligo knocks, some patches of the skin lose color or appear lighter. Vitiligo may cover only a few parts of the body or cover larger areas (including the hair, eyes, and mouth).

  1. Drinking Alcohol

Too much of alcohol consumption may result in flushing of the face and blotchiness. Quite often, people who take alcohol experience hangovers the following day. When that dehydration happens, it makes any redness the body may have worse.

  1. Excessive Exposure to Sunlight

With the sun producing invisible UVB and UVA lights, the skin is always at a risk of damage. Even though it is worthwhile to enjoy the sunshine for vitamin D replenishment, too much of it is harmful. When the skin is exposed to too much sunlight, it may develop sunburns, redness, blotchy skin, or even skin cancers.

Relationship Between Gut Health and Skin Conditions

Did you know there is a link between gut health and skin conditions like a blotchy skin? Yes, the gut does not only result in a smooth digestion but is also responsible for keeping your skin intact and free of infections. However, if it develops conditions like the Leaky Gut Syndrome, it becomes hard for it to perform the vigilante duties.

Also, a sick gut is associated with digestive upsets, emotional distress, metabolic dysfunction, obesity, and skin inflammation. This can be supported by the “gut-brain axis” as developed by philosophers Pillsbury and Stokes. The two philosophers discovered that alterations in the bacterial composition in the gut could lead to depression and skin inflammations.

https://unsplash.com/photos/6x2iKGi6SPU

A healthy gut contains microbiomes that keep invasive bacteria at bay both in the gut and on the skin. The gut also stimulates the immune system to produce anti-inflammatory molecules to fight such conditions as acne, eczema, and other causes of blotched skin.

A thriving gut flora is associated with the production of byproducts, metabolites, and neurotransmitters such as serotonin, linoleic acid, and short-chain fatty acids. These products have anti-inflammatory effects just like the microbiomes. However, when the gut is not healthy, it cannot produce them, and the skin does not have enough soldiers to fight for it against inflammations and infections.

Taking Care of the Gut

To ensure you have a healthy gut, you must start with avoiding the causes of a leaky gut. The steps include eating foods that the gut needs for it to produce the beneficial compounds. You can also focus on feeding the microbiome with fiber, managing stressful situations, sleeping enough, and eating probiotic foods.

Also, you can invest in a tested, and proven protocol referred to as the Leaky Gut Protocol. This is a three-step protocol that will see you promote a healthy gut and avoid skin inflammation conditions including blotchiness. Check out the Leaky Gut Protocol here for a detailed insight and step by step application.

Healing Eczema Quickly, Naturally, and Permanently

Among the most common and irritating skin conditions is eczema. It’s annoying, yes, and it isn’t enjoyable. However, all is not lost as there are many proven ways of healing eczema quickly, permanently, and most of all, in a natural way.

healing eczema

If you have for long suffered from eczema, all is not lost. The best news is that you can take control of the situation yourself and make it a thing of your past. Read through for insights on how to do it in the most natural ways.

What is Eczema?

Eczema is a medical condition that affects your skin. Usually, the condition results in the skin developing patches that become rough and inflamed with blisters. The blisters may in turn cause itching and bleeding.

Eczema is very common, and in most cases, manageable. The condition can also be an ongoing challenge. In addition, it can be mild, moderate, or even severe.

Most commonly, it affects babies and children and mostly on their faces (the chin and cheeks especially). However, it can also appear anywhere else on the body, and the symptoms may vary from one child to the other.

Quite often, the condition then goes away as the child grows older even though some children may experience it even into adulthood. It’s worth noting that an adult can develop eczema too, despite not having it as a child.

Is Eczema Contagious?

More often than not, people think they can “catch” eczema by contacting someone with it. The truth is, the condition is not contagious and cannot be transmitted through contact or exposure.

Symptoms of Eczema

So, how do you know that your skin condition is really eczema? How do you differentiate it from normal contact with allergens or other skin conditions? These questions can be answered by a visual of any of the following conditions:

  • Dry and sensitive skin.

  • Excessive and irritating itching.

  • Red and inflamed skin.

  • Dark colored patches on the skin.

  • Rough, leathery, and scaly patches on the skin.

  • Areas of swelling.

  • Oozing and crusting.

  • Bumps that leak fluid and crust over.

The symptoms above may differ from one individual to another.

Causes of Eczema

Some people have no idea what causes their health conditions. The same goes for eczema and as such the condition may even go undiagnosed for long. The following are some of the common causes or triggers of eczema:

Triggers that are known to cause allergy attacks are also associated with causing eczema. The triggers include animal dander, pollen, dust mites, and mold. Usually, the triggers affect people with atopic dermatitis and make them break out in a rash on the skin.

Getting in contact with irritants like harsh chemicals can also cause inflammation of the skin. In the end, the spots may end up itchy and bring on bouts of eczema. Some people may also be sensitive to mild irritants like detergents, fragrances, astringents, and wool and report cases of skin irritation.

Other triggers can also include food allergies which can set off a flare-up. The allergens, in general, will cause the immune system to overreact and this leads to skin inflammation.

Additional causes include emotional stress and anxiety, dry or cold weather, sand, dust, and pollution. Exposure to synthetic fibers may also be an eczema trigger.

Gut Health and Skin Conditions

Did you know the relationship that exists between your gut and body wellness? Usually, the health of your gut determines the readiness of your body to fight many diseases. As such, a weak gut (leaky gut) can lead to a myriad of problems including skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.

Some studies have shown that there is a relationship between alteration in the diversity of the gut microbiota with cases of eczema in infants. The gut microbiota plays a vital role in regulating the adaptive and innate immunity in the body. As such, its alteration has been implicated in the development of allergic infections that lead to skin conditions including eczema.

Now, the first step towards healing eczema is understanding the concept that gut health is highly influential when it comes to the skin. It’s also important to understand that the state of your gut’s health is reflected on the skin. Also, it’s worth noting that once the ‘friendly bacteria’ are outnumbered by the ‘unfriendly bacteria’, there is nothing the gut can do to ensure its health is intact.

The Leaky Gut Problem

There is an easier way of understanding this problem called the leaky gut. It’s easier if you thought of your gut’s lining as a fine mesh that can only allow for the finest of particles to penetrate or slip through. When the leaky gut problem knocks in, the gut wall’s permeability is affected and becomes weak.

With the permeability no longer strong, large food particles (undigested) and pathogens will be free to penetrate or slip through the gut wall lining. What they find around is your immune cells and the ‘friendly bacteria’ in your system. Normally, the immune cells are affected, and they lose the power to fight disease.

When the immune system is invaded, it’s typically going to trigger an inflammatory response. The response, in this case, and no matter how low grade it is, can lead to flare-ups and breakouts and eventually, eczema and other skin conditions like acne develop.

Image:

Healing Eczema

Unfortunately, there exists no single bullet that can perform magic against eczema. However, there are varied treatment options and strategies that can relieve the symptoms, reduce the inflammation, and prevent the flare-ups. The strategies may include using specific creams and ointments, using antihistamines and antibiotics, or injectable medication.

Naturally, one can also help the situation and themselves in different ways. The major one is by taking care of the gut and ensuring that it’s healthy all the time. Failure to take care of the gut can lead to the Leaky Gut Syndrome. This in return leads to a myriad of diseases including skin conditions.

Having a leaky gut is one of the sneakiest problems that lead to eczema. However, working on it can turn the tables over and help in the process of reducing the effects or healing eczema. For a complete guide on how the syndrome can be fought, explore the Leaky Gut Protocol to find out more.

Red Rash on Legs? Cure It Forever Within One Week!

The sight of a red rash on legs isn’t fun, and no one feels good or confident when they manifest it on themselves. They bring a bad feeling whenever you wear clothes that do not cover them enough, not forgetting that they are itchy and annoying.

red rash on legs

It’s also utterly disappointing if you do not have an idea of what to do with them or how they can be lessened. However, understanding the causes, symptoms, and how to reduce their spreading can help cure them forever.

Causes of Red Rashes

There are many different causes associated with red rashes. The following are some of the many causes and how they usually occur:

Ringworms

Ringworms are also some of the most common causes of red rashes. In most cases, the results are circular-shaped, scaly, and itchy rashes that are compounded by raised borders. The skin at the middle of the ring appears clear and healthy though. The ring may continue spreading outwards until the causes are dealt with.

Contact Dermatitis

This problem is usually spread after one comes into contact with an allergen. The result can be a red rash on legs and a handful of other body parts. The rashes may appear hours or days after the exposure to the allergen happens.

When it happens, the affected area appears to have visible borders. The borders usually appear where the skin is touched by the irritating substance or another affected area. The skin also becomes red, scaly, itchy, and raw. Blisters that ooze, weep, or become crusty may also appear.

Allergic Eczema

A red rash caused by allergic eczema may resemble burns. These rashes are found on soft spots too and result in an itchy, scaly, red, or raw skin. Blisters that ooze, weep, or become crusty may also start manifesting themselves.

Eczema

Eczema results in yellow and white scaly patches that usually flake off. The areas in return become red, greasy or oily, and itchy. Hair loss may also be evident around the area affected by the rash.

Psoriasis

This skin condition is commonly characterized by scaly and silvery skin patches that are also sharp in nature. They are commonly found around the elbows, knees, lower back, and the scalp. The areas with the rash may also be itchy and asymptomatic.

The Link Between Gut Health and the Skin

Did you know that there exists a link between your skin and the gut’s health? This explains why some people have persistent red rash on legs: because there is this underlying issue. Such issues are most likely associated with gut health and can only be dealt with by first working on the health of your gut.

If your desire is to have a flawless and smooth skin free of skin conditions, your best ticket to this is by looking after your gut in the best ways possible.

The gut is linked to the brain in what is referred to as the “gut-brain axis“. This is a topic that has over the time been highly studied and documented since 1930 when two philosophers, Pillsbury and Stokes discovered that depression could be linked to changes in the bacterial composition in the gut. In the end, the alteration leads to skin inflammations symptomized by, for example, red rashes on legs.

Also, poor diet has long been associated with a leaky gut. They are also linked with such conditions as skin rashes, hives, and acne. As such, it cannot be clearer that the state of your gut may determine the occurrence of skin problems.

How to Use the A Healthy Gut to Fight Skin Conditions

Knowing the relationship between gut health and skin problems is one of the best ways of avoiding skin conditions. The best way is first to learn the tested and proven ways of treating the Leaky Gut Syndrome and then work on maintaining it at a healthy state. For the best way to do this, you can check out the 3-step Leaky Gut Protocol.

The protocol involves three common steps that guarantee the desired results. The steps include changing your diet and rebalancing with probiotics. In addition, you can add the colostrum supplement which is the third step to dealing with the Leaky Gut Syndrome.

Home Remedies for Gas Relief

Gas is a normal part of digestion. But a build-up of gas can feel uncomfortable and painful. Maybe you feel bloated all the time. Or you find you constantly have to use the bathroom. If diarrhea or other symptoms accompany your gas and bloating, it may be best to visit your doctor’s office. Luckily, there are a variety of at-home remedies for gas relief.

home remedies for gas

1. Fix Up Your Diet

Gas is caused by what you eat – plain and simple. Your small intestine is responsible for digesting most of the food you eat. The rest of digestion occurs in the colon in the large intestine. Your food becomes fermented via bacteria and other compounds. And this process is what creates gas – also known as methane and hydrogen.

Yet, what you eat may cause more gas to be created. So before you try any other home remedies for gas relief, consider fixing up your diet first. Start keeping track of the food you eat and how you feel later on. Frequent problem foods causing increased gas and bloating include high-fat foods, high-fiber foods, spicy items, carbonated drinks, beans, certain veggies, and foods containing artificial ingredients or sweeteners.

2. Try Peppermint or Chamomile Tea

If you haven’t heard, peppermint is one of the best items you can consume for gas relief and digestive problems. And science wholeheartedly agrees.

A 2015 study showed that the peppermint leaf was a viable option in treating IBS symptoms. Participants in the study noted various gastrointestinal symptom improvements.

And peppermint is readily available. The most convenient variation is in peppermint tea form. You can find all kinds of peppermint tea at your local grocery store or pharmacy.

Chamomile tea comes in at a close second. And chamomile isn’t just used as one of the many home remedies for gas relief. It’s also useful for hay fever, inflammation, muscle spasms, menstrual issues, insomnia, ulcers, rheumatoid arthritis pain, and more. For a good sleep, consider drinking chamomile shortly before your bedtime. It’ll relief your gas and bloating, as well as ease you into a deep sleep.

3. Drink Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar isn’t just another diet fad. For many people, it’s helped with indigestion, gas, bloating, maintaining optimal blood sugar levels, and weight loss. Even some famous and well-known celebrities boast about it!

So, what’s the best way to drink it? You’ve probably heard of a few celebs downing a tablespoon every the morning. However, you can dilute it by adding it to hot water and drinking it as you would tea. And if you’re using it for digestion and gas relief, drink it before your meals.

4. Start Moving More!

Want a magic pill to solve your problems? Exercise is it. With various proven benefits, physical activity is an investment in your health and your future. And it’s one of the easiest home remedies for gas relief. You just have to move a little.

Essentially, exercise can help release trapped gas or air in your digestive tract. It gets the muscles moving and contracting. Try a light activity, such as walking, after your meal. Or better yet, partake in regular cardio for about 150 minutes each week. Even yoga or light stretching may help! It might be all you need to reduce your gas issues.

5. Eat Up Clove Herbs

Or drink it. It’s your choice. But cloves may ease your gas fairly quickly – especially if you’re looking for a quick fix. Eating cloves increases your saliva volume. It also improves peristalsis, helps with digestion, eases heartburn, and of course, relieves gas.

You can chew on the clove. Or you can add a few drops of clove oil to a glass of water.

6. Snack on Yogurt

We’re serious. Greek or probiotic yogurt is best. And if you constantly have yogurt for snack in your fridge, it definitely makes it an easy go-to when it comes to home remedies for gas relief. You don’t even have to leave the house. Probiotics in yogurt promote a healthy gut. Consequently, it may help with your bloating and gas issues.

7. Take a Deep Breath

Stress is linked to bad gut health. Yet, learning relaxation techniques or deep breathing techniques may significantly help solve your gas and digestive problems. Practice breathing the right way every day. Take a deep inhale and allow it to fill up your chest and your belly. Use a slow and controlled exhale to release. Perform this 10-15 times daily.

8. Purchase Activated Charcoal or Simethicone

You can find these two at your local pharmacy in the over-the-counter aisles. Simethicone includes brands such as Gas-X. Basically, it works to help release gas bubbles in your stomach easier.

Activated charcoal works in a similar way. In addition, activated charcoal also is excellent for lowering cholesterol levels and helping with bile flow. Make sure to follow the instructions on the label after you buy either of these products.

9. Go for Fennel Seeds to Promote Good Digestion

People used to hang fennel seeds in their front doorways to keep away evil spirits. Although this was back in the middle ages, maybe they were onto something. Fennel is well-known for its gas-reducing effects and digestive benefits. How does it do this? Fennel relaxes the muscles in your digestive tract. It allows gas to pass easier and more smoothly. Similar to peppermint and chamomile, you can drink fennel seeds as a tea.

10. Last But Not Least, Cardamom is Frequently Used for Digestion and Gas Problems

Cardamom is a herb. It may be found in seed or oil form. It’s also sometimes used as a spice for food. The theory goes that cardamom has certain chemicals that decrease intestinal muscle spasms, kill bad bacteria, decrease inflammation, and boost the immune system. As a result, it may prove to be amongst one of the better home remedies for gas relief.

Take Care of Your Gut & It Will Take Care of You!

Recognize the foods that cause your body harm. If after you eat something you don’t feel good or have gas problems, consider avoiding or limiting that particular food.

Your gas may also be caused by leaky gut syndrome. If you notice other symptoms of a leaky gut – such as diarrhea, headaches, fatigue, skin problems, and joint pain – consider signing up for the free course, Leaky Gut Protocol. This course helps anyone who wants to heal their gut problems. Feel better – starting today.

Remedies for Mood Swings you Haven’t Tried Yet

Mood swings are natural to everyone’s emotional rhythm. They also occur at any time, without warning, and can be caused by a myriad of factors. If you feel like you have tried everything to help your mood swings, you may be interested to read about these less obvious causes and remedies for mood swings.

Remedies for mood swings

Perhaps it sounds impossible that there are remedies for mood swings you haven’t tried yet! There can be infinite possibilities to explore, all with different results. After all, everyone is unique. What works for them, may not work for you.

This article will guide you through some lesser known causes of mood swings, and the remedies for mood swings that could help you feel better for good.

The Link Between Gut Health and Hormones

Your hormones have an impact on how you feel about anything and everything around you. By taking a look at how your gut health affects your hormones, it’s a significant step towards having a more balanced mood.

Your gut is one of the key disease-fighting systems in your body. Its state, therefore, determines the state of your overall health. Keep in mind that most diseases and body conditions, including obesity, are linked to gut health. Conditions include skin rashes, weight gain, headaches, migraines, acne, yeast infections, allergies, hormonal imbalances, fatigue, autoimmunity, and immune challenges.

According to the National Center for Biotechnology Information, the state of your gut impacts the central nervous system disorders. These disorders include depressive disorders, schizophrenia, anxiety, and autism. Furthermore, the human gut manufactures serotonin, a neurotransmitter that contributes to one’s wellbeing and happiness.

Since the gut plays such a vital role in neurotransmitter production, it is totally clear how the gut can be responsible for regulating your mood.

Restoring your gut health is one of the most reliable and long-term remedies for mood swings because it requires a total lifestyle change.

Why Maintain the Right Gut Flora?

Maintaining the right gut flora balance is crucial. When there is an imbalance, weight gain, leaky gut, and other associated diseases may begin knocking on your door.

When someone has leaky gut syndrome, they have holes in their intestinal lining that allow molecules into the bloodstream. This creates chronic inflammations that lead to hormonal imbalances.

How can one know if they have a leaky gut? Check the symptoms here. It could be a likely cause of your uncontrollable mood swings if you have tried everything else. The following advice could be one of the most successful remedies for mood swings you have ever tried!

Remedies for Mood Swings With The Leaky Gut Protocol

Improve your hormonal functioning by healing your gut with this tried and tested 3-step protocol:

  1. Change your Diet

The very first step is reviewing what food goes into your body. The triggers for leaky gut and mood swings include sugars, alcohol, refined foods, and others that contain phylates and lectins. You can then replace them with healthy fats, nutrients-rich diets, and fibres and prebiotics that help in the growth of benevolent bacteria.

  1. Repair with Colostrum

Colostrum contains a myriad of immune factors, growth factors, and nutrients capable of healing the gut lining. They also promote healthy growth of the gut microbiome. When the gut microbiome is healthy, it produces the correct levels of neurotransmitters for your body. Therefore, a colostrum supplement is one of the more secret remedies for mood swings.

  1. Rebalance with Probiotics

If the good bacteria are in low numbers, you can work on that by rebalancing them with high strength probiotics. The gut and intestines bacteria are key to fighting off bad bacteria and also prevent damages to the gut lining. If rebalanced, therefore, fighting the leaky gut problem will be an easier process.

In addition to the 3-step protocol, you can explore more ways of healing the Leaky Gut Syndrome and other remedies for mood swings you have been looking for!

Supplement with Colostrum and Visbiome

Leaky Gut Syndrome can also be treated using Bovine Colostrum. Colostrum is the first milk that a cow produces when a calf is born. The milk is super rich in nutrients, immune factors, and growth factors. It is also a powerful probiotic that promotes the growth of healthy gut bacteria and is also essential for keeping a good mood throughout the day.

Other remedies can include Visbiome probiotics. This is one of the few probiotics backed by scientific research (check here and here) as it populates the gut around the intestinal areas. It consists of over 450 billion bacteria per sachet which makes it a mega dose.

The mega dose helps to populate the intestines, and now you can get it without too much of a hassle. Get Visbiome probiotics now and see your mood swings disappear for good!

Also, if you’re looking for the best and most natural remedies for mood swings, the Leaky Gut Protocol is a free and highly efficient course designed for you.

Leaky Gut Shopping List For Full Body Healing

It shouldn’t come as a surprise to hear that your diet is the main reason that you do (or do not) have leaky gut syndrome. So, if you would like to improve your gut health or heal your bowel disorder, a leaky gut shopping list can help you ensure that the food on your plate and in your belly heals you rather than hinders you.

leaky gut shopping list

Our gut health is directly related to the overall health of our bodies. If we do not have a healthy gut, it can make us feel tired all the time, we can get skin conditions like acne and psoriasis, allergies, and we can even become depressed and anxious. Leaky gut syndrome has a wide array of symptoms – some are quite surprising. Check out our article on leaky gut symptoms to find out more.

Why We Created The Leaky Gut Shopping List

Imagine being housebound for over 10 months, losing 20 kilos in weight, bleeding from the back side 15 times a day, then being told by your ‘trusted’ doctor that you may need to face having your entire colon removed with a permanent colostomy bag if this new untested drug fails to work.

This is the horror Niraj Naik, The Renegade Pharmacist himself, was faced with back in 2010.

Working as an actual pharmacist in the UK, Niraj wanted to help his community heal, but he soon realised that the pharmaceutical industry had other ideas: profit, profit, profit!

Niraj took matters into his own hands. He knew that more could be done to return to full health without any drugs or surgery. Read about how he did it here.

This lead Niraj to become The Renegade Pharmacist. He also created this Leaky Gut Shopping List for patients just like him who want to restore their health fully. It was also the catalyst for his highly successful Leaky Gut Protocol.

Foods To Avoid

There are certain foods that create an imbalance of gut flora. This can have some serious implications for our health. These foods should be eliminated totally for at least 30 days, and then avoided most of the time.

Find out which foods you should eliminate from your diet by following our free Leaky Gut Protocol.

You will probably notice that you feel significantly better after 30 days without these foods in your diet. Ask yourself if you really want to reintroduce them or if you can live without them (after all, you’ve made it 30 days!).

Foods To Eat In Abundance

Eating a diverse range of foods is the best way to keep your gut healthy and thriving. Our Leaky Gut Shopping List has an extensive list of foods you can enjoy in total abundance. There are so many flavours, colours, and textures to enjoy on this shopping list! Plus you can create endless recipes with all of the options.

Food Depends On You

You should listen to your body and decide if and when you eat these foods. We advise removing these foods from your diet for 15-30 days before reintroducing slowly. Then feel how your body responds.

Reverse Insulin Resistance – A Step-by-Step Guide

Did you know that diabetes and insulin resistance are totally preventable and that it is possible to reverse insulin resistance?

reverse insulin resistance

What Is Insulin?

Firstly, if you want to understand how to reverse insulin resistance, it helps to know what exactly insulin is. Insulin is a hormone. It is created and stored in the pancreas, and its major role is to regulate blood sugar levels.

Most foods are broken down into glucose. Take a look:

  • Simple carbohydrates – bread, pasta, cereals.
  • Complex carbohydrates – quinoa, brown rice, squash, legumes.
  • Fiber-rich foods – fruits, vegetables, peas, beans.
  • Desserts and sugary drinks – cake, ice cream, cookies, energy drinks, carbonated drinks.

Once the food has been broken down into glucose, insulin transports it directly to the liver and our muscles. Then, the glucose is stored there for later use as energy. Stored glucose is called glycogen.

This process is called insulin sensitivity, and is how the body should function.

What Is Insulin Resistance?

Insulin resistance occurs when the process described above does not happen as it is meant to. We develop insulin resistance when we eat too much sugar and too many carbs for our body to handle on a regular basis.

It is important to remember that every single body is unique, and each individual can process different amounts of sugar and carbohydrates.

When we regularly consume too much for our body to handle, we basically become desensitised to it.

Eventually, your body reaches a point where your liver and muscles can no longer keep up with the demand for glucose storage. They’re full. That’s when your pancreas comes into action and produces more insulin to help carry the load to try and help out. Unfortunately it doesn’t work because there is still nowhere to store the glucose!

This is when you end up with high blood glucose levels and excess insulin. The glucose is eventually stored as fat.

Carbohydrates Are Good

Carbohydrates are good for us. They are a great source of energy for our bodies’ needs. A balanced diet includes carbohydrates and sugars too. We are always allowed to enjoy these things!

It becomes a problem when we consume too much for our body, on a regular basis.

How To Reverse Insulin Resistance

Finally, the part we’ve been waiting for. It is possible to reverse insulin resistance.

Diet

First, reduce or eliminate sugary foods and simple carbohydrates, as described above. Then, include more healthy fats in your diet and and complex, slow burning carbohydrates. Here are some examples:

Healthy Fats:

  • Avocado
  • Eggs
  • Ghee and/or grass fed butter
  • Coconut oil and/or MCT oil
  • Olives and olive oil
  • Wild caught salmon
  • Seeds, nuts, and nut butters

Complex Carbohydrates:

  • Quinoa
  • Sweet potato
  • Squash
  • Correctly soaked or sprouted beans, peas, and legumes

Movement

We all know that exercise is vital to our overall health. Moving more will burn energy and speed up your metabolism.

If you spend a lot of time sitting (at work, on the sofa, driving), take dance breaks or go for small walks when you can. Also, go and try out that exercise class you’ve always wanted to try. Take up Yoga, swimming, or low-impact exercise if you do not exercise regularly.

Doing sustained exercise multiple times a week is what is needed to keep diabetes and diabetic symptoms under control.

Supplements

Colostrum

Colostrum has so many benefits, and it has been shown to reverse insulin resistance. It’s practically a miracle product and it has changed so many lives, including The Renegade Pharmacist’s life. That is why we sell our own Renegade Colostrum. We guarantee the highest quality bovine colostrum possible. Stir it into your drink and go. Simple.

Green juice

We like Organifi Green Juice the best. See why here.

Final Words

If you follow our guidelines, you should see that you can reverse insulin resistance within 30 days. Maybe even sooner! Consistency and dedication are key. Your health is in your hands.

However, you do not need to change every aspect of your life over night (unless you want to!). You can start with one or two dietary changes, one supplement (colostrum is the best one), and more movement, and then build up from there.

Often, insulin resistance can come with gut problems like leaky gut syndrome. Check out the symptoms of leaky gut syndrome here. If you recognise these symptoms, you can take part in our free Leaky Gut Protocol designed to help you beat optimal health.

Holistic Health – What is Holistic Health?

holistic health

Historically, conventional medicine has been the forerunner in treating illness and disease. This type of medicine frequently treats the symptoms via drugs or surgery. The problem? It rarely addresses other contributing factors – such as mental, spiritual, and emotional aspects. It also fails to look at the body as a whole.

For instance, stress may cause widespread inflammation in the body. In turn, it may contribute to a variety of health problems. If the causes of the stress are not addressed, the individual may never find optimal health again.

Today, holistic medicine is taking over. More and more healthcare professionals are accounting for aspects relating to holistic health.

But what is holistic health exactly?

Let us explain.

Holistic Health Treats the Patient as a Person – Not Just a Disease

Various factors contribute to optimal health. According to the holistic health perspective, overall health is based on overall wellbeing. In other words, holistic health is not based on the absence of disease or symptoms. It is based on the balance of the mind, body, spirit, and emotions as a whole.

Everything in the body is connected. When one piece of the machine is broken, it inevitably impacts other parts.

For example…

If you break your leg, it may impact other parts of your body. Your opposite leg compensates for your broken leg. Weakness in the affected leg may also cause issues with other structures. When you start to walk again, your hip may ache as it tries to help move the weak and previously-injured leg.

Problems with the hip may create back issues. It may further create a certain amount of emotional stress – especially if you were an active individual before the injury. You can’t exercise as you did before. Depending on your job, you may not be able to work. It is a multifaceted issue.

Another example involves an individual with depression. Their mental illness hinders their physical health. They may turn to unhealthy food or possibly not eat at all. Perhaps they stop taking care of their body. Maybe they stay in bed all day and do not take part in enough movement or exercise. Consequently, their immune system becomes suppressed. They begin to fall ill frequently. Doctors attempt to treat the symptoms of the illness. However, the cause is untreated depression.

Holistic health works to address each aspect of the human machine. In a holistic health approach, the emotional stress caused by your broken leg would also be addressed. The mental illness leading to physical illness would be considered.

Essentially, recovery would come down to restoring balance in the emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects. The causes and reasoning behind the symptoms are taken into account. Healthcare practitioners work with the person as a partnership – rather than viewing the person as solely a disease.

Holistic Health Supports the Body’s Natural Healing Abilities

Drugs and surgery aren’t necessarily the first go-to for obtaining optimal health and wellbeing. Lifestyle changes are often able to offer the same relief as certain drugs. And these changes use the body’s own abilities to optimize health.

Luckily today, many doctors are starting to recommend lifestyle changes to treat symptoms relating to heart disease or diabetes. The body is simply out of balance.

For instance, excess weight causes an array of imbalances throughout the body. Yet, exercise and a proper diet go a long way in fixing related health issues. These factors use the body to their advantage. They create an environment that promotes good health and wellbeing. By doing so a number of health problems are alleviated.

Holistic Health is the Future of Healthcare

Healthcare professionals are realizing the positive impact of viewing the body as a whole. And it does not necessarily exclude conventional medicine practices.

Instead, holistic health involves a combined approach. Treating a person with borderline diabetes may involve a low dose of a certain medication. It may also involve reinforcing specific lifestyle changes – such as movement and a healthy diet – to reduce their risk of eventually developing diabetes.

Alternative medicine is further part of this holistic view – including massage therapy, acupuncture, and dietary supplementation.

Essentially, holistic health is the integration of the best healthcare practices to restore balance and integrity within the body. It further holds the person responsible for their own health. It involves a positive outlook and state of being – which are the responsibilities of each individual.

Holistic healthcare is the future. Today, healthcare practitioners communicate with each other more than ever before – giving way to a more comprehensive system. This system further focuses on prevention as well as treatment.

Holistic health could even be considered an approach to your own life. Practice positive thinking and self-care. Look after your body via proper diet and exercise. Take time to mentally unwind when you need it. Become more in tune with yourself. In turn, you’ll become a more healthier and happier person – and you’ll lead a fuller and longer life.

Ashwagandha Benefits – Three Big Ashwagandha Benefits

ashwagandha benefits

Ashwagandha (withania somnifera) is one of the most important herbs in Ayurveda and it has been used for thousands of years as a form of natural medicine. Part of the nightshade family, the ashwagandha plant is a small shrub that has orange flowers. It is native to India and North Africa. Powders and extracts made from the plant’s roots and leaves treat a wide range of ailments. Ashwagandha benefits our health in a number of ways due to high amounts of withanolides, which fight inflammation and tumour growth. [1]

This article will outline:

  • Three big ashwagandha benefits
  • Ashwagandha precautions and dosage

Ashwagandha benefits Cancer Treatment

Ashwagandha could treat cancer symptoms. Cancer patients reported improved quality of life and more energy when they took an ashwagandha supplement.[2].

Furthermore, combining ashwagandha with chemotherapy was effective against lung cancer in this study [3].

Ashwagandha has shown to effectively fight brain[4], colon[5], and ovarian[6] cancer to name just a few.

Ashwagandha benefits Cortisol Levels

Cortisol is widely recognised as the stress hormone because your adrenal glands release it in response to stress. Cortisol is also released when your blood sugars get too low and when we consume caffeine. It is becoming more and more common for cortisol levels to be permanently high, which can lead to high blood sugar levels and increased fat storage in the abdomen.

Ashwagandha supplements lead to great reductions in cortisol. Participants in this study taking the highest dose had an average of 30% reduction in cortisol levels.(7).

Taking an ashwagandha supplement could help relieve your symptoms of anxiety.

Ashwagandha benefits Sexual Health

Ashwagandha can balance luteinizing hormone in infertile men [8]. The pituitary gland releases luteinising hormone to control the function of the reproductive organs in both men and women.

Also, ashwagandha could play a role in restoring hormone imbalances in polycystic ovary syndrome [9]. What’s more, ashwagandha has proven to relieve symptoms of the menopause[10].

More Ashwagandha Benefits

  • Ashwagandha also boosts longevity by protecting against oxidative stress. The leaf extract of the Ashwagandha plant have shown anti-aging properties on cells [11].
  • Ashwagandha is useful for children with memory issues and for preventing memory loss in old age [12, 13]. A 600mg daily dose ashwagandha root extract improved the memory of people with mild cognitive impairment [14].

Ashwagandha Precautions and Dosage

While ashwagandha is safe for most people, pregnant women should never take ashwagandha. It is linked with pregnancy loss. Anyone with a thyroid disorder should also be cautious: the above ashwagandha benefits show just how easily ashwagandha affects hormones.

The recommended dose will depend on the type of ashwagandha you are taking, so follow the instructions that come with the product you choose. Ashwagandha is delicate, but powerful, so start on a lower dose and work your way up until you feel comfortable with your dose. Always ensure that you are taking a high-quality supplement to get the best results.

Conclusions

This article outlined a few benefits of ashwagandha. There are many more benefits of this ancient Ayurvedic herb. Used to improve health for thousands of years, there is plenty of research to back up these health claims too. Therefore, incorporating ashwagandha into your supplement routine might be an effective way to benefit your health and quality of life.
